Gallery VICTOR · River North

Gallery VICTOR presents Creature Feature, an exhibition that brings together artworks where animal imagery takes on a cinematic, strange, and unforgettable life of its own. Drawing from fantasy, natural history, mythology, and the suspenseful language of film, the exhibition transforms creatures into symbols, characters, and unexpected forces of imagination. Insects, birds, beasts, hybrids, and otherworldly beings appear in scenes that feel both playful and uncanny, inviting viewers into a world where the familiar becomes fantastical. Visually charged, mysterious, and full of surprise, Creature Feature celebrates the animal form as a gateway into storytelling, transformation, and the wonderfully unusual. Josephine is a recent graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her aerial sculpture, titled Rough Play, a suspended flock of birds, brings dramatic motion to the gallery as the birds appear caught mid-flight, hovering between weight and movement, fragility and force. This cinematic work is not to be missed!
